Main purpose of this mode is to test implemented functionalities and to find bugs. There is no intentions to ever make a game out of this mode.
This mode consist just a few functionalities form original game - Zeus: Master of Olympus.
There is possibility to create roads, houses, maintenance points, hospitals, storages and also trees and water.
Few building and character animations are implemented. Some characters walk on roads and some walk on ground using shortest pathfinding algorythm.
When immigrant character went inside a house - it increase it levle (without the need to provide goods or services to the house).
There is a possibility to save and load the game.
Mode "Blocks Editor"
Main purpose of htis mode is to have ability to setup quickly elements from the game and make a screenshot to show someone the ideas (for exmaple - how to create housing blocks).
In this mode its possible to put different elements on the field (but without any functionality).
Mode "Sanctuary Editor"
Main purpose of this mode is to modify sanctuaries files that can be used in the original game.
(Pyramids elements are currently not supported in the application.)
Button New - removes everything and created board with empty land
Button Save - saves elements currently places on the ground as sanctuary file (sanctuary of currently selected in side menu god) in default directory and opens in in default text editor
Button Load - loads sanctuary (currently selected god in side menu) from default directory - best if there is nothing on the ground, because other elements might make it impossible to load sanctuary elements correctly (in case of no sanctuary saved for this god yet in default directory - default sanctuary from original game is loaded)
Button Load from clipboard - loads sanctuary elements coded in clipboard - usefull when sanctuary was downloaded from the internet - open it in some text editor, copy all contents of the file and after coming back to the application click "Load from clipboard"
Button Load default - shows a popup in which it is possible to select which original sanctuary should be loaded
Button Screenshot - saves all currently placed elements as an image and saves in default directory and opens it in default image viewer
Button Info - shows a popup with info about cost of currently place elements
Side menu Elevation - if we want to put lements on higher ground - just change the value of elevation is side menu and put element on the ground - stairs will appear automatically!
Side menu [Name of god] - if we want to put a statue or a sculpture it is needed to select proper god in the side menu; also currently selected god in side menu decides what is the name of the file saved or loaded from default directory
Additional functionality Hotkeys - to make creation of sanctuaries even faster it is possible to assign hotkeys - just select on element in side menu, hold "Ctrl" and press one of the number buttons on top of your keyboard [1-9]; after that just press previously assigned number key [1-9] and sanctuary element is selected without having to find in in the side menu (those hotkeys are saved next time you open the application)
